Tracking Advice is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, your rights, and how to contact us. Please read it carefully.
1. Who We Are
Tracking Advice is an independent parcel-tracking and shipping-intelligence platform.
Website: https://trackingadvice.com · Contact: https://trackingadvice.com/contact
2. What Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Tracking queries
When you submit a tracking number, it is transmitted in real time to third-party carrier APIs to retrieve shipment status. We do not store tracking numbers after your session ends. Tracking numbers are not linked to your identity and are not retained in any database.
2.2 Account registration
If you create a Pro or Enterprise account, we collect your name, email address, billing information (processed via our payment processor — we do not store card details), and company name if provided.
2.3 Comments
When you leave a comment on our blog, we collect the data shown in the comment form, your IP address, and your browser user agent string for spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile picture.
2.4 Cookies and tracking technologies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies – necessary for the site to function (login sessions, CSRF protection)
- Analytics cookies – Google Analytics, Umami.is to understand site usage (see Section 5)
- Advertising cookies – Google AdSense, Media.net, Ezoic, The Moneytizer (see Section 5)
- Functionality cookies – save your preferences if you leave a comment or log in
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent tool. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the tracking tool.
2.5 Automatically collected data
When you visit, our servers automatically log your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This data is used in aggregate for security and performance monitoring.
2.6 Contact form and email
If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message to respond to your enquiry.
